Culture & Nature
In the footsteps of a three-thousand-year-old civilization, surrounded by the living and pulsating force of uncontaminated nature.
Woods and clearings, valleys and gentle slopes. The babbling of a stream, the sun trapped in the canopy of a tree whose leaves vibrate in the wind. And the nights! the most absolute silence, the most intense darkness punctuated by an infinite vault of stars.
The Village
In a dominant position over one of the most beautiful valleys in Tuscany, the village of Mazzolla dates back to the 11th century. Originally an agricultural center without defensive structures, it took on the appearance of a fortified castle in the 13th century.
Today the village presents itself as an enchanting hill overlooking the Berignone-Tatti forest. Its historic heart houses the Romanesque Pieve di San Lorenzo and the medieval Villa Viti, still home to the family of the same name today.
Between the characteristic stone houses and the steep access road, Mazzolla remains an intact example of harmony between medieval architecture and the Tuscan landscape.

Berignone
The Nature Reserve:
The Reserve is an oasis of extraordinary biodiversity, even including a resident wolf pack, characterized by an intact ecosystem where hills and dense oak forests dominate the landscape.
What makes the area even more evocative is the course of the Cecina river: among its tributaries and the murmur of the waters, lies the famous Masso delle Fanciulle. This splendid natural bend is a historical and naturalistic point of reference, loved by those seeking coolness and authentic beauty during the summer season.
Volterra
Perched on a windswept hill, Volterra is the treasure chest of three thousand years of history. This Tuscan pearl enchants with its medieval profile and mighty Etruscan walls. Walking through the alleys, you discover artisan workshops where alabaster comes to life, while the Roman Theater and Palazzo dei Priori bear witness to a glorious past. The suspended atmosphere and the sunsets on the cliffs make Volterra a magnetic destination, capable of combining archaeology, art and mystery.
